Learn about my Academic Journey
Before applying to a doctoral program, I reflected on what should be the next steps for my life. After writing in many affirmation journals, meeting with different mentors, talking with family and friends, and reflecting with myself again, I knew continung a career in higher education was the answer. Why? I enjoyed every aspect of the Higher Education sector. From student support services, course management, policies, and shared governances, I wanted to dive more into this career than ever before. However, the part that gave me fuel to keep my passion alive in higher education was knowing that I was a part of a team to help each student have academic success.
After many nights in a coffee shop, I developed goals and objectives on how to obtain and achieve my goals in moving further along in the higher education sector.
